THAI Smile opens bookings
THAI Smile, the light-premium brand owned and managed by Thai Airways International, launched its website, www.thaismileair.com, Wednesday, gearing up sales ahead of its first flight, 7 July, to Macau.
The official launch is set for 27 April at a Rak Khun Tao Fah event hosted by the national airline at Siam Paragon. Online booking for its first services to Macau are now open while ticketing via travel agents opened earlier in the month.
THAI Smile is a new service by THAI with a fleet of all new Airbus A320 aircraft and cabin crew who are refreshingly young, vibrant and dedicated to the same service excellence as you experience with THAI.
THAI Smile will operate under the same Airline Operator Certificate, TG with 3 digit flight numbers beginning with 7.
THAI Smile will operate flights on routes within Thailand, and to selected international destinations within 2-3 hours flight time from its hub at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, providing smooth connections with THAI and Star Alliance airlines.
Brand positioning and character
Travel with THAI Smile is designed to be swift, smart, friendly and convenient from start to finish. With THAI Smile you will enjoy many of the complimentary services provided by THAI, instant online booking, mobile and airport check-in facilities, checked baggage allowances and a snack and beverage.
Airbus A320 aircraft are ideally suited for fuel efficient short haul travel, while dedicated cabin crew will provide smart and friendly service, with a genuine smile.
The THAI Smile fleet will consist of 11 brand new Airbus A320-200 aircraft in an all Economy Class configuration of 174 seats. ‘Smile Plus’ in the first rows of the aircraft will feature 30 seats with additional space and enhanced inflight service.
The colorful and vibrant exterior and interior design of the aircraft was developed by Priestmangoode, a world class UK company. Four aircraft will be delivered in 2012 with the first arrival in June.
THAI Smile will commence operations on 07 July 2012 with a new destination, Macau, with twice daily non-stop service.
THAI Smile will also commence service on selected routes within Thailand during 2012; between Bangkok and Krabi, Bangkok and Phuket, and Chiang Mai and Phuket.
