THAI's superb product constantly receives favourable
reviews both in the media and from passengers.
The First Class product provides customers with 180
degrees of recline, converting into the most comfortable
of beds. One of the key features of these state-of –the-art
seats is the legroom, which following the removal of
four seats, provides almost seven feet of space in which
to stretch out.
The ten Royal First Class seats have 76” pitch,
width 21.84”, lie flat.
Elle and Guy Laroche comfort wear are offered to passengers
with sleeping blindfolds and slippers. The amenity kit
are from Hermes and Bvlgari.
First class menus include Caviar, Lobster and the award
winning Don Perignon ’96 Champagne. Main courses
can be pre-ordered from an extensive menu through Thai’s
London Reservations Department.
Each seat in Royal First Class is equipped with LCD
screens, telephone and computer access with PC outlet
115VAC which is compatible with most laptops.

is a promise of perfection in every aspect of service.
With so many features designed to provide the maximum
in comfort and privacy these seats have received extensive
accolades. They have 167 degree of recline and an increased
seat pitch of 60 inches due to the removal of ten seats
in the cabin, a personal telephone and AC outlet to
power a laptop. The Royal Silk Class seats are set only
two abreast with an adjustable privacy screen, while
the Audio Video on demand (AVOD) system offers an almost
unlimited choice of entertainment information and games.

Thai Airways offers Royal Orchid Class passengers just
as much attention as it’s Royal First and Royal
Silk Class travellers when it comes to comfort and satisfaction.
With 34” seat pitch, seat width 15.63” –
17.32” and maximum recline angle 122 degrees.

and spirits.

THAI AIRWAYS UNVEIL PLANS FOR NEW AIRCRAFT
14 new aircraft will be added to Thai Airways fleet
by 2010. Six A340-500/600 have been delivered to meet
the increase in demand.
The A380, which can accommodate 555 passengers will
also be included in the fleet in 2010.
UPGRADING
Passengers can upgrade from Economy to Business or
Business to First on a standby basis at check-in, subject
to space. The fee charged is 760 USD per person per
sector. The additional UK departure tax is also payable
when upgrading from economy to business.
